Red jewelry set Enameled jewelry necklace earring set painted abstract swirls - Liquid Lava

I wanted to show you my first try at enameling on copper. It is just as fun as enameling on silver but because copper is cheaper than silver I can experiment more freely.

I used Sgraffito technique with contrasting red, black and white enamels and the end result reminded me of the Lava flows hence the name of the set :)

Harmonia - Agate Citrine Peridot Prasiolite emerald green Quartz necklace in sterling silver and gold filled. Handmade gemstone jewelry by Arctida

Here is another set of custom orders that I have had a chance to photograph so that I can show them to you guys :) All of them are based on my original *Harmonia* necklace that I first made back 2010. The gems vary a little bit and so do the swirls as I make them by hand each time, but the basic Art Nouveau style design is there. The gems that I've used are: green Agate, Citrine, Peridot, Prasiolite (aka green Amethyst) and emerald green Quartz. The metals are both sterling silver and 14K gold filled.

Nebula - Labradorite necklace in sterling silver. Handmade wire wrapped jewelry by Arctida.

Here comes my latest custom order. This lovely customer was inspired by my swirly jewelry and wanted her own version. I chose a round Labradorite bead with an amazing teal blue and green color-play and wire wrapped it on a handmade (by me) sterling silver frame. The Labradorite bead reminded me a Nebula somewhere in the distant part of our Universe, hence the name of the necklace.

The first one is a set of swirly earrings and necklace with Mystic Quartz and sterling silver.

This pendant was made with Aurora Borealis Swarovski beads and sterling silver.

This necklace was made with Mystic Quartz beads and sterling silver as well.

Juno - Mystic Peacock Quartz contemporary style organic hand forged pendant in Sterling Silver

Ooopsie! Haven’t written here for a while I see :) anyway, here is my latest piece of jewelry which is an entry in EST weekly challenge. The theme was "Winding" and was chosen by my teammate Nancy van den Boom. I checked out the definition and thought it would be perfect to try to manipulate thick wire into some kind of cool shape and accent it with gems. So here is my new baby: Mystic Quartz organic contemporary style hand-forged pendant in Sterling Silver.

The Mystic Quartz reminded me of a peacock which is a symbol of the ancient Greek/Roman goddess Hera/Juno, hence the name of the pendant :)
