Handmade Fused Glass Panel Inspired by French Lavender Fields

A little piece of Provence in glass 💜✨This handmade fused glass lavender panel was inspired by the dreamy lavender fields of France, with layers of purple, lilac and green to capture the soft summer haze.

I created it for a dear friend who loves France, now she has her own lavender view all year round. 🌿🇫🇷

 

The matching wooden stand was made by my hubby 🥰

A birthday present for my mom – felted scarf in her favorite purple-magenta color palette. Merino wool, silk fibers and lots of different shades of viscose. The scarf is double sided so it can be worn differently depending on the mood 😊

Its been a while I wrote something in this blog because as some of you already know I've given birth to my little boy last February :) And even though I didn't have the time for writing I did have time to make some new pieces of jewelry. Lately, I've been playing a lot with so called mosaic gemstone necklace designs. I've made my first one back in 2009 as a present for a friend and I just realized that I've never shown it here on my blog. So here comes the first one in my mosaic necklace series with purple, lilac and violet gemstones and pearls in sterling silver.

Violante - Amethyst and Pearls asymmetric lariat necklace in Sterling Silver. Handmade boho chic jewelry by Arctida.

Here comes another custom order necklace. This time it was a variation of my *Violante* necklace but the customer wanted to use her own gray colored pearls instead of peach ones. I've used sturdier chain because the main Pink Amethyst is bigger and there are more of the Amethyst rondelles and pearls in this version. I love the way grey pearls give an illusion of much *colder* shade of soft lilac in this variation even though I've used the same Amethysts as before.

The autumnal colors outside are so beautiful and bright it is hard not to get influenced by them. After all, I'm only human! :) So here is my latest creation, it is one om my best sellers, a design called - Domani. This time in purple violets, golden yellows and burgundy reds, just like the fall vineyard look like at this time of the year.

This week EST challenge's theme was "Morocco" hosted by creationsbyeve.

For this challenge I decided to revamp one of my older designs - Domani. It looks very ethnic but not quiet what I was looking for! And so I improved it and made it more bling-bling, more exotic and spicy, more glittering and shiny, simply more Moroccan :) and here is my new Moroccan version of Domani with Amethysts, Peridots and Gold filled.

I have open an Arctida shop on yet another venue but this time it's not in English it's in Russian - Ярмарка Мастеров! :) and I have already gotten my first custom order that will go to Moscow! Yay :) The customer wanted to have her own pair of my Domani earrings but with some variations.

My latest creations

I'm in love with the vines :) I mean wire vines, although I do like the grape ones too :) So lately I've been experimenting with different shapes. I have already posted a couple of designs (Kiena and Neda) with the vines and here are my latest ones (Niolle och Domani)

and I have taken my first picture with a model! My hubby's pretty cousin has graciously agreed to model for me, and if you look close there are vines there too :)
