Sakura Cherry blossoms necklace for women Nature jewelry

Spring is finally here, and with it comes Cherry blossom, or Sakura.

In 1998, 63 sakura trees were planted in Stockholm’s King’s Garden — or Kungsträdgården — and a new Swedish tradition was born. Thousands of visitors come every year to see the blossoms fall. But it’s not the only place in the archipelagic city basking in cherry blossom. More than 10,000 trees have been planted along the streets of the city, and as I lived there for almost 20 years it was my most favorite time of the year walking along the streets of Stockholm. Those memories gave inspiration to the latest addition to my fused glass jewelry collection - Sakura Cherry blossoms necklace 🥰

The first one is inspired by Cyanobacteria filaments (Blue green algae). Argentium sterling silver landscape pendant chain necklace for women

One of my pieces where I applied mixed metals techniques. This sterling silver pendant necklace was inspired by the Northern Scandinavia winter landscapes. The pendant was composed from a hand sketch and made of different type of recycled silver. The base plate, all fine details, the moon and the trees are composed of Argentium sterling silver 935 and snow hills are made of fine silver 999. The pendant is attached to long and heavy sterling silver 925 chain. The chain is handmade by me as well.

Labradorite necklace and earrings set oxidized sterling silver. Handmade Labradorite jewelry by Arctida.

I enjoy working with Labradorites and especially with polished Labradorites stones. I love the way their buttery surface catch the light with tons of sparkle and lots of color-play. And in my opinion the best way to frame the turquoise blue Labradorites is using oxidized sterling silver to achieve that mysterious and antique look. Like in this Labradorite necklace and earrings set.

Deira - Personalized jewelry Birthstone necklace Statement necklace. Handmade gemstone jewelry by Arctida

Back in 2008 I've made a long statement necklace with combination of 7 different gemstones for myself (Deira). In the beginning I wasn't planning to have this design for sale but I started to have custom request from friends and coworkers who've seen it and wanted their own version. Usually people would choose the Birthstones that would have a connection to their family-members or gemstones from some special event/place in their life. So I thought I'll show you some of those that I've had a chance to photograph :)

Pure silver 999 with Rock Crystal Clear Quartz necklace and earrings set. Handmade PMC fine silver jewelry by Arctida

The vacation is over, I had a really nice and long one this year and it is time to get back to work. I have tons of new projects in progress and in my sketchbook but I have not had the time to photograph any new pices yet. So instead I'm gonna show you the latest jewelry set that I've made for myself :)

The delicate free-formed focal was made by me using Fine Silver Precious Metal Clay (PMC) and decorated with Cubic Zirconia in the center. The chain has been hand-crafted using Rock Crystal Clear Quartz faceted round beads and Argentium sterling silver (High tarnish resistance). The matching earrings are simple high quality Rock Crystal Clear Quartz briolettes wire wrapped in Argentium sterling silver.

Marina - Blue Kyanite and Lapis lazuli earrings in oxidized sterling silver. Handmade wire wrapped jewelry by Arctida.

The July is just around the corner and we are still waiting for the *real* summer here in Sweden. It has been very cold and rainy June and I cant wait for my vacation to start so that me and my family can finally fly to Greece, Yay! I'm longing for the beautiful warm sea and lazy afternoons under the sun on the beach... and so while I'm waiting (its only a couple of weeks left) I've made a pair of earrings inspired by the Mediterranean sea :)

So here is my new creation: Marina - Kyanite and Lapis lazuli earrings wire wrapped in oxidized sterling silver.
