Handmade Fine Silver and Dichroic Glass Jewelry Set in Emerald Green

This one-of-a-kind jewelry set combines fine silver (999), handmade dichroic glass, and silk fibers in an organic, artistic design inspired by nature and textile art. The pendant was created using silver metal clay techniques together with traditional silversmithing, including soldering, polishing, and hand forming.

The emerald green dichroic glass cabochons were handmade by me and paired with matching earrings to create a cohesive set with luminous depth and texture. Silk fibers enclosed within the silver reflect my passion for felting and mixed-media art, bringing together several creative disciplines in a single piece.

This jewelry set is deeply personal to me because it combines all the art forms I love most... fused glass, textile art, and silversmithing - into one wearable work of art ❤️

Argentium sterling silver landscape pendant chain necklace for women

One of my pieces where I applied mixed metals techniques. This sterling silver pendant necklace was inspired by the Northern Scandinavia winter landscapes. The pendant was composed from a hand sketch and made of different type of recycled silver. The base plate, all fine details, the moon and the trees are composed of Argentium sterling silver 935 and snow hills are made of fine silver 999. The pendant is attached to long and heavy sterling silver 925 chain. The chain is handmade by me as well.

Nature engagement ring Twig Ring with genuine Garnet Tree bark textured Pagan wedding band

I've been making a lot of nature inspired rings lately and I wanted to show my latest custom order engagement ring. The ring is hand-carved from Precious Metal Clay Sterling 960, tree bark textured, polished and in the middle I've set a genuine Garnet gemstone. The ring was inspired by my Frost ring so I photographed them together to show you the likeness and the difference :)

Mint druzy ring Sterling silver and mint green druzy Quartz ring - Lindelle

Here is a forth piece from my exam work for Precious Metal Clay certification. This time it is a rustic nature inspired Druzy ring. The ring is tree bark textured to match that beautiful mint green cabochon and looks like something a druid or an pagan priestess would wear or at least I imagine it so :)

Melted silver pendant free shape silver casting. Jewelry design by Arctida.

Making silver jewelry is a lot of fun but recycling old jewelry pieces and scraps (meaning melting silver) is even more fun 😍 Here is a pendant made of a couple of broken pieces and failed experiments that I had. The technique is called silver casting, basically you melt silver and pour it into something that will give the silver it’s shape or pattern. For my pendant tree branches and dried pees were used.

Natural leaf textured fine silver pendant. Jewelry design by Arctida.

The holidays are over and it is time to get back to blogging :)

Last year I've started teaching beginner metal clay class and I thought I'll show you what my students can make in my classes. Here is the first one and it is one of the most popular projects for beginners - making a jewelry piece from real leaves. This pendant is made by me as a demo for my students using precious metal clay paste and I've chosen a Mint leaf as a *model* because of it beautiful texture and pretty shape.

Cloisonné Enamel fine silver blue green Mosaic pendant. Handmade enameled jewelry by Arctida.

I've been wanting to try enameling for a some time now and so when the opportunity arose I had to take it! I've chosen Cloisonné enamel technique for my first pendant but more pieces with other  enamel techniques are on the way :)

Cloisonné is an ancient technique for decorating metalwork objects by fusing glass onto metal. It is a very specific and time consuming process but the end result can be spectacular and the colors will not fade because the material is glass.

For this piece I first made a patterned fine silver pendant, added fine silver cells (cloisons in French), filled them with different shades of blue greens enamels, made a number of successive firings to establish color control and hand polished the pendant to a glossy finish.

Frost Ring - Tree Bark Ring handcarved textured sterling silver 960 and Cubic zirconia. Handmade metal clay jewelry by Arctida.

It is winter already in Northern Sweden, so its not surprisingly that my latest inspiration comes from frost covered tree branches. This time I've chosen to add a bit of bling bling, a round brilliant-cut Cubic zirconia that sparkles the same way frost does when the light hits it just right :) The ring is hand-carved from Precious Metal Clay Sterling 960.

Science jewelry Biohazard necklace fine silver pendant on leather cord. Handmade metal clay jewelry by Arctida.

As some of you know I work as a microbiologist at my day job. Over the years I've been working with a lot of dangerous bacteria and viruses: Streptococcus, Polio, HIV, Cholera, Hepatitis are just some of them... so it is only natural that I wanted to make a necklace for myself that looks like a Biohazard warning symbol, after all I'm surrounded by these signs at work I might as well wear one :) I finished this piece back in 2014 and since that time several of my colleagues and nerd friends ordered the same pendant so I thought it was time to list it in my shop as an addition to my Science collection.

The pendant is made of solid silver (Fine Silver Precious Metal Clay pmc), partly oxidized to display the Biohazard symbol pattern and threaded on a black leather cord.

Oh and the blue bio-suit and mask you see on the first model pic is the actual protective gear/suit (informally known as "space suits") we use for some of the laboratory work :)

Book locket necklace OOAK miniature ornate book pendant in fine silver. Handmade metal clay jewelry by Arctida.

The Autumn is almost here so it is time to present my new collection :) For the past 2 years I've been learning more and more metal clay/metal smith techniques and training, training and yet again training a lot. So most of my new pieces are made of metal clay or Argentium silver or combination of them both + gemstones of course :) I will still post some of my older gemstone/wire wrap jewelry pieces that I only now have the time to photograph but most of my jewelry will have a new touch.

So here is my first hinged 3D piece. This two-sided book pendant with intricate ornate pattern on both front and back was handmade by me using Fine Silver Precious Metal Clay (PMC). I've cut out the separate pieces of the book from clay (scroll down to see the last picture). All pieces were dried, sanded and polished while in the clay form and after more drying the clay parts were fired in a jeweler kiln to obtain metal form (fine silver 999). When in metal form it is time for metal smith techniques to finish the piece. All part were filed, burnished and tumbled to achieve the desired look and the book was finely constructed to its 3D form.

Ice and Fire - Amber Rock Crystal Clear Quartz silver gold necklace and earrings set. Handmade fine jewelry by Arctida

I'm a huge fan of fantasy books so it's only natural that I get my inspiration from the books that I've read. So here is the set that was inspired by the *A Song of Ice and Fire* book series. The popular HBO TV-series *Game of Thrones* is based on these books.

A little bit about the jewelry pieces: the focal was made using Fine Silver Precious Metal Clay (PMC) and decorated with 24K gold foil using ancient technique called Keum-boo. The chain and the earrings were handcrafted using genuine Baltic Amber and Rock Crystal Clear Quartz beads wire wrapped in 14K gold filled, 18K Vermeil and Argentium sterling silver (High tarnish resistance).
